SIGN: aliquid stat pro aliquo

Welcome to the cyber version of "Sign: aliquid stat pro aliquo", Semiotics Student Journal. This journal was first published, in hardcopy form, in the fall of 2000 by a group of undergraduate students interested in publishing works by semiotics students. Since then we have received contributions ranging from interviews with world leading semioticians to collaborative projects from other student based organisations, not to mention the slew of student submissions that have really helped keep this journal running.

On behalf of the editors of "Sign," who will surely miss the hours spent on the manual cutting, pasting and legwork involved in producing and distributing the hard copy version of the journal, we are proud, and a little relieved, to be part of the Meta Semiotics Website. A different medium where we will continue our efforts toward putting together and maintaining a forum dedicated to publishing varieties of interdisciplinary works that fall under the rubric of semiotics.

Here you will find virtual editions of our first issues with more to follow. Again, we are committed to publishing pieces by anyone who would like to contribute. Therefore, we ask that any questions or comments you may have regarding any piece be directed toward the author(s), who maintain full copyright of their work.

If you are interested in getting involved with or have any ideas that you would like to share with us at "Sign-alquid stat pro aliquo", please contact Daveeda, Richard, or Thania at: signjournal@hotmail.com
