Program
of Study Assessments (POSA)s
Students
who request to graduate in November will receive Program of
Study Assessments (POSA)s from departments in October. Students
who request to graduate in June will receive POSAs in late April.
Students
receive a POSA for every program in which they are officially enrolled.
For example, if you are enrolled in a Major in Anthropology and a
Major in Psychology, you will receive a POSA from both the Anthropology
and Psychology departments telling you whether your program is complete,
incomplete, or complete pending the successful completion of current
courses. If you have receive POSA showing that a program is
incomplete, you should determine if it is a program that is essential
for you to graduate. For example, if you are requesting the
Bachelors degree and are enrolled in two major programs, it may not
be a problem for one major to be incomplete as long as the other is
complete.
If you
have questions about the accuracy of a POSA, you must check with the
department that did the assessment. A contact name and phone
number for the person who assessed the program will be listed at the
bottom of the form.
