Alumni Milestones | Spring 2026
We are pleased to recognize and celebrate recent milestones from our alumni community and the significant contributions they continue to make across their fields.
Frances M. Wood Vic 9T1, a partner at Wood Gold LLP in Mississauga, was appointed a judge of the Superior Court of Justice of Ontario, Family Court, in Kitchener.
Helen Hayes Vic 1T8 has been named to the 2026 Forbes 30 Under 30 list. She was recognized in the education category for her work to engage young people in digital policymaking for AI and social media and for teaching in both undergraduate and graduate programs at McGill University.
Alaine Hutton Vic 1T1 directed a new version of the one-woman show, VITALS, about the real-life experience of a Toronto paramedic, updated to reflect how health care has been reshaped by the pandemic and other events. It ran at the Factory Theatre in Toronto May 2–10.
Screenwriter Lauren Greenwood Vic 0T6 is expanding her creative reach with a series of new film projects. Her short film & Other Concerns, which she wrote and co-produced, premiered April 16 on CBC Gem as part of the Canadian Reflections program. Greenwood, who has worked professionally as a screenwriter for the past six years, also has another short, Red Balloon, currently available on Apple TV+. She will step behind the camera for the first time as director of Swathe, a short film slated to shoot this May and expected for release in late 2026.
Fred Dawkins Vic 6T7 has published two new books: the geopolitical thriller The Noah Project, focused on the weaponization of trade, and My Camino: Things I Learned Walking with Our Grandson, an account of walking the 800-kilometre Camino trail in Spain with his 22-year-old grandson.
Tanis Helliwell Vic 6T9 published her memoir, Life of a Mystic: Embracing Pathways to Consciousness.
