Convocation Update: May 14, 2020

Victoria University has been actively monitoring the evolution of public health concerns around the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). Consistent with global efforts to mitigate the spread of this virus, and with the recent announcement from the President of the University of Toronto, Meric Gertler, Emmanuel College has made the difficult but necessary decision to postpone the Spring convocation celebrations scheduled for this May in Toronto.

We understand how disappointing this is for our students, their families and their guests, but our primary concern is for the safety and well-being of all attendees.

While these ceremonies are being postponed in light of the current global pandemic, Emmanuel College students who have completed their programs will have their degrees conferred in absentia. This means students will graduate in May 2020 and will be sent their diploma later this summer.

We are very sorry for the inconvenience this decision has caused. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to all successful students on reaching this personal and professional landmark and will be in touch with information about future plans as they become available.
