Max Donnelly is Curator of Nineteenth-Century Furniture at the Victoria and Albert Museum, where he specialises in nineteenth-century design and has curated several displays. V&A publications include contributions to C.F.A. Voysey: Arts and Crafts Designer (2016) and The Story of Scottish Design (2018) as well as his forthcoming Christopher Dresser: Design Pioneer (June 2021). His co-authored monograph, Daniel Cottier: Designer, Decorator, Dealer, will be published by the Paul Mellon Centre in May 2021. Max has also written for journals including The Burlington Magazine and lectured in the UK, Europe, North America and China. He is a Fellow of the Society of Antiquaries of London, and a Trustee of the Emery Walker Trust and the Decorative Arts Society.
