Victoria College Fellow Emeritus Named to Order of Canada
Konrad Eisenbichler, Victoria College fellow emeritus and professor emeritus in the department of Italian studies in the Faculty of Arts & Science, has recently been named to the Order of Canada for his “acclaimed interdisciplinary study of sexuality, gender, history, religion and literature in the Italian Renaissance era.” Eisenbichler is a prize-winning scholar of international reputation, and celebrated author, editor and translator of more than 30 books and 70 peer-reviewed articles.

Storied Blake Printed Plates Acquired by Library
To enrich the existing collection donated by 2005 by Gerald E. Bentley Jr., Blake scholar and a former U of T English professor, the Library recently purchased two plates printed by Blake as commissioned by Richard Edward’s for an edition of Edward Young’s contemplative long poem Night Thoughts (1797).

Indigenous Garden to Bloom at Emmanuel College
Emmanuel College of Victoria University in the University of Toronto will install an Indigenous Garden on its campus. Thanks to The Seeds of Hope grant from The United Church of Canada Foundation, the garden will be created in collaboration with Indigenous Knowledge Keepers and will be connected to the school’s academic curriculum through experiential learning, focusing on Indigenous cultures and relationship to the land.
